2.1 Selected Text Processing:

• Selected text is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate explanations
• Text is processed in real-time and not stored on our servers
• Explanations are cached locally on your device for faster repeat access

2.2 Local Storage:

• Extension settings are stored using Chrome's storage API
• Cache data is stored locally to improve performance
• Your API key is stored securely on your device only

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

3.1 Google Gemini API:

• Selected text is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing
• Google's privacy policy applies to this data: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• No personal information is included in API requests

3.2 No Other Third Parties:

• We don't share data with advertisers, analytics companies, or other third parties
• We don't use tracking pixels, cookies, or similar technologies
